Event Cancellation & Force Majeure Policy

In the event that the Wild West Backyard Ultra is cancelled, postponed, or modified due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control (including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or safety concerns), the following will apply: 

1.    No Full Refund Guarantee

Entry fees are non-refundable in the case of force majeure, as significant costs are incurred in advance of the event.

2.    Partial Refund or Credit

Where possible, we will:

·      Provide a partial refund, or

·      Offer a credit / rollover entry to a future event (e.g. the following year)

The amount refunded will depend on costs already committed at the time of cancellation.

3.    Priority Entry Option

Entrants may be offered:

·      Priority registration for the next event

·      Locked-in pricing or discounted re-entry

4.    Transparency Commitment

We will communicate clearly with participants about:

·      Why the decision was made

·      What costs have already been incurred

·      What options are available

5.    Event Modification

Where possible, we may:

·      Delay the start time

·      Adjust the course

No refunds will be issued if the event proceeds in a modified format.
